TRANSFERS: BARCELONA OFFERED BERNARDO SILVA CHANCE

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva. This is according to the report from French publication L’Equipe. It was reported that Manchester City want to raise funds to sign Lyon star Lucas Paqueta.

The aforementioned media outlet said Manchester City are ready to sell Portugal international Silva to Barcelona for €80m (£67m) and will then turn their attention to Brazilian midfielder Paqueta who’s available for a transfer this summer. Paqueta has been attracting serious interest from several Premier League teams including Arsenal and Newcastle United. Arsenal technical director Edu recently spoke about his compatriot as he disclosed his admiration for the Lyon player.

Manchester City playmaker Silva has been linked withBarcelona since the start of this summer’s transfer window. It has been reported in the media that Portuguese star Silva is keento leave City this summer in pursuit of a dream move to Barcelona if the Catalan giants make a move for him.

Premier League holders Manchester City are renowned for letting their players leaveif they receive a suitable offer for them and the aforementioned Silva will likely not be an exception. City have already sold a lot of their players this summer thereby making around £150m on transfers.

Manchester City have sold three of their first-team players plus several fringe players. The Premier League champions have sold the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling from their first-team and Bernado Silva could follow suit if the Citizens receive a very good offer for him from a club like Barcelona.

Brazil international Jesus and Ukrainian star Zinchenko have joined Arsenal from Manchester City this summer. Jesus signed for the Gunners in a £45m deal, while Zinchenko signed in a £32m deal including add-ons. On his part, England international Sterling joined Chelsea in a deal worth at least £47.5m.
